In Psalm 150 – KJV, we are told to “Praise ye the Lord” on musical instruments. This is the main purpose of my book, Sacred Music Piano Study Series, Vol. 1 which consists of 34 hymns and African-American spirituals, with the lyrics, for beginner children and/or adult piano students.
Praise (or the Hebrew word “halal”) means to shine, to make a show, to boast, to rave, to celebrate the Lord and in the Lord.
But why do we praise the Lord? We praise the Lord for His mighty acts and His excellent greatness!
I, for one, am so thankful and grateful in how the Lord blesses me in my life. Part of my testimony is to praise God through the good times and the bad times as He walks and talks with me through each situation. I guess you could say that I praise God as part of my life now and in preparation for when I will praise Him in eternity!
For He is worthy of all the honor, and all the praise, and all the glory! Amen!
God Bless You All!
